HISTORY

MODERN YACHT SHIPYEARD WITH LONG TRADITION

BALT-YACHT has been in existance since 1990, but family traditions in building boats and yachts reach far back to the pre-war period. Bronislaw Bielawski, father-in-law and father of the owners of BALT-YACHT, Benedykt and Krystyna Kozlowski, constructed and built boats in Augustow before World War II. Later the present owners gained experience in making yachts working in the state-owned shipyard PTTK "FOTO-PAM" where Benedykt Kozlowski was the technical manager.

Established in 1990 BALT-YACHT was the first private shipyard in the north-east region following the period of political system changes in Poland. From the beginning BALT-YACHT produced yachts from polyester-glass laminates mainly for export for the demanding foreign customers. These were French companies: MAR-IMPORT, JEANNAU and INTERBOAT for which we made various motor yachts and one sailing yacht.

In the recent periond BALT-YACHT specialised in building complicated motor yachts with stationary engines for French company SAINT CAST MARINE. Now our major customer is MARINE POWER EUROPE, for which we make several models of motor yachts with stationary or attachable engines. We also produce motor yachts for English and Norwegian companies, and for our domestic market. Presently BALT-YACHT procudction is above a 2000 boats per year and production capabilities are still growing due to developement and modernisation.

Now, our boats have not only a modern look but also modern technology!
